A chance phonecall

I rang my old leabharlann to ask them to check on the shelf for a DVD. The person who answered was the kind of HR person who was really interested in learning about C being born. And of course, her granddaughter of C's age now has a baby brother! I found a book by Bressie about counting your blessings so that helped!

RFIDs with ease

With COVID-19 precautions, people are more readily using the self-service kiosks. I've only had one refusal. People are learning. And today new tablet OPACs were installed. Yay.

Documentary of choice II

It happened again! This time someone in work told me the documentary had been aired on TV and was available on the Player. Yay!

From A to C

I started working in the public libraries. I was assigned to a branch far away for training. But after I was there for some time I was told I was moving to my local library as they were short staffed. They was so good, as I'd wanted to work there anyway and getting the train into town to get to the far away branch was really tough for me. The good thing was I was quite trained up by the time I got to the near branch, where I know quite a lot of people! Yay!!!

Not helping with a thesis

A man wanted to pay me to help with his thesis. The thing is he actually wanted me to do the thesis! I tried to help and I sent him an invoice. He didn't pay it. He disappeared. Phew. A number of years later I ended up getting a  legitimate job in the area when he was! This job is far more suitable! Thank you Universe!

Not an art exhibition

A lady wanted to hold an art exhibition in the library where I work. I said yes but then thought it wasn't such a good idea as it's not an ideal venue for it. I consulted around and people said just to say yes and not to backtrack. Well the lady never did come back to me about the exhibition! As it turned out she was out sick for a long time.

Looking good!

I gave up buying new clothes for 2016. Well it's February 2017 now and I bought some new clothes. Then I went into a health shop and was offered to have my makeup done for free! So now I have new clothes bought and makeup on me!
